Ramekin is the English version of the French word ‘ramequin’. Ramekins are little bowls used for cooking and serving different types of food. Most commonly they are used to make Creme Brulee. A ramekin can be made from ceramic, glass or even aluminum. They are also known as Souffle Dishes.
